About Us

At Motion Labs we have a very simple outlook to things: movement is life. Your body is the most amazing instrument you'll ever own and if you look after it, it'll look after you. 

When Motion was formed, it had a simple goal - to bring accessible, sustainable and credible health and fitness to those that valued it. We have three simple focuses: training, nutrition and wellbeing - a 'holy trinity' if you will of three elements that together dictate the quality of the life you lead. All our advice and recommendations are based on fundamental knowledge and experience from people who've been there and done it, so we know what works and what doesn't and, like most things in life, it's the simple things that are the most effective.

Many of our clients are people who those who simply just want to move better, feel better, or live better. From the busy and overweight to those frustrated with their diet to those just wanting to be in the best shape they can be for their age whilst still leading a normal lifestyle (we count ourselves amongst these). 

We apply six simple values to all we do and we are:

Training 

All our training advice comes from a deep understanding and archive of experience; if there's a workout style it's likely we've tried it, and if there's an injury or ailment as a result of training, there's a strong chance we've experienced it! We believe in practical, workable training and very much advocate strength and conditioning as a vital part of your training programme, particularly for women and those over 50 as part of a healthier lifestyle to take you long into the latter, more mature years of your life. 

Nutrition

An essential, if not more vital part of your lifestyle is how you fuel yourself, not just for core sustenance, but how you support your training goals; put simply, you'll never achieve the shape or form you want on the outside if you don't monitor or regulate what you put inside you; it has a tremendous effect on your gains (or losses) in the gym, but also the impact on your general health. Consequently, all our advice seeks to provide educated, qualified and understood recommendations, but always seek professional advice if you are in any doubt or need more in-depth answers or direction. 

Wellbeing

So often used as a punchline or catch-all phrase, at Motion Labs, we believe that mental fitness is just as vital as physical fitness. Our wellbeing philosophy is rooted in the idea that looking after your mind is an essential part of living and performing at your best — whether in the gym, at work, or in everyday life. While this is a growing part of our offering, our focus is on helping you build simple, sustainable habits that support better headspace, resilience, and self-awareness. From practical self-help tools to stress management, breathwork, and mindset coaching, our goal is to help you move, think, and feel better — from the inside out.
