The last time I ran was at school, literally decades ago. My kids had been jibing me about getting fit, so this was a good place to start. I like the way it breaks it all down and builds you up. Was quite nervous at first but took the plunge and did it....rediscovered a love of running now I'm thinking of joining the local running club.
Good for you - and what progress! Keep it up and before you know it you'll be smashing local running competitions!
Getting back into hockey after many years out and felt I needed to get into some shape before running around a pitch, so this really helped to give me something to work to. And it turns out I'm fitter on the pitch now than some of the regular players, so that's a bonus!
Good for you - hockey can be challenging at the best of times, so working on your fitness has obviously helped and we're glad that we've been able to give you that help.
Doing a 5k has always been on my list to do but never actually done, so I'd made a pre-Christmas resolution to get there and then surprise my family by running the first Park Run after Xmas day, which I'm proud to say I did! I was recommended this by a friend who'd purchased another book and said how much they'd liked it. Would highly recommend.
Go you! That's awesome...what was your time? Keep up the good work - now you've cracked 5k, how about going further???
